Job Summary
Clinical Account Executive responsible for expanding Tempus’s oncology/precision-medicine footprint in a California remote territory. Drive strategic business expansion with major U.S. cancer centers, clinics, and AMCs, develop and execute detailed territory plans, maximize client-bill contracting opportunities, and collaborate across sales roles to achieve company goals. Promote Tempus’ molecular information tools, analyze competitive landscapes, manage budgets and travel, and build cross-functional relationships to secure executive-level engagements. Requires consultative selling to executives (CEO, COO, CFO), deep understanding of oncology molecular diagnostics, payor and reimbursement environments, and strong presentation/negotiation skills. Travel frequently (>50%) within the territory; proficiency with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office is essential. Education includes a B.S. in life sciences, biology, business, or marketing (MBA preferred); 2-3 years of direct account management in molecular diagnostics and 3-5 years engaging major cancer centers. Required Qualifications
- B.S. in life science, biology, business or marketing – MBA preferred
- 2-3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic setting with a history of proven past performance
- 3-5 years of experience working with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology GPOs, large health systems, IHDNs, and large oncology practices
- Demonstrated measurable revenue generation at either a diagnostic, pharmaceutical or relevant biotechnology company
- Pay Range $125,000-$155,000
