Job Summary

Lead clinical account management for state Medicaid agencies by optimizing drug therapy quality and cost-effectiveness through evidence-based interventions and rational drug utilization management. Serve as subject matter expert and team lead, coordinating tasks among junior members, monitoring Service Level Agreements, and providing strategic recommendations on benefit design, Preferred Drug Lists, and pharmacy benefit utilization trends. Utilize analytical tools to identify performance improvement opportunities, conduct clinical utilization analyses, and participate in quarterly P&T meetings to drive financial and clinical goals. Collaborate with internal resources and external clients to ensure service levels meet expectations while managing difficult situations and soliciting feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • PharmD
  • 5+ years' experience
  • 3 years' of SME in respective areas
  • Registered Pharmacist license in good standing
  • ability to obtain licensure in specific state as necessary within 6 months
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • experience with at least one business intelligent tool (IBM Cognos or Tableau)
  • Familiar with First Databank and Medi-Span drug information
  • Analytical skills required to perform drug cost expenditure impact analysis
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills to interface with clients and internal team members

  • This position works within the State of South Carolina, preferably in the area of Columbia, SC
