Job Summary
Provide care to patients and significant others via direct or telephone contact while coordinating with the care team to ensure seamless delivery and active patient participation. Assist physicians and other providers with clinical procedures, including moving and lifting patients, managing instruments, and utilizing autoclaves for sterilization. Work in a medical office environment requiring frequent exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Maintain full range of body motion, dexterity, and eye-hand coordination while operating a computer keyboard throughout the day.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of clinical experience in a medical office / clinic or hospital setting, or graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- Record of prior stable employment and / or favorable references
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with at least one year of recent experience as a medical assistant
- Current certification as a medical assistant or eligible for certification
- Must obtain certification through the CMM M.A exam course if not yet certified at time of employment
- Current CPR / BLS certification
