Job Summary
Schedule participant visits within the PACE clinic and with outside medical providers, coordinating transportation to and from these appointments. Greet and check in patients arriving at the clinic while performing clinical tasks within your scope of practice, such as administering injections, providing wound care, and removing sutures. Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient examinations, restocking supplies and maintaining par levels throughout the day. Maintain accurate documentation for Homecare appointments and follow policy for reporting incidents. Work a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends. Requires a valid driver's license, medical clearance, and completion of a state-approved Medical Assisting or Certified Nurses Aide training program. Required Qualifications
- Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations
- Valid driver's license and means of transportation
- Successful completion of a state approved training program in Medical Assisting or Certified Nurses Aide
- Minimum of one-year experience working with a frail or elderly population
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and as delegated by the licensed nurse
- Ability to understand medical charts, doctor's orders, the participant's plan of care, Primary Care Provider orders, and to communicate with participants and staff
