Job Summary
Schedule participant visits within the PACE clinic and with outside medical providers, coordinating transportation to and from these appointments. Greet and check in patients arriving at the clinic, while performing clinical tasks within scope such as administering injections, wound care, and sutures removal under provider direction. Prepare exam rooms for examinations, restock supplies per established par levels, and maintain accurate documentation of all Homecare appointments. Follow correct policies for incident reporting and perform other duties as required. Work M-F, 8a-5pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations
- Valid driver's license and means of transportation
- Successful completion of a state approved training program in Medical Assisting or Certified Nurses Aide
- Minimum of one-year experience working with a frail or elderly population
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and as delegated by the licensed nurse
- Ability to understand medical charts, doctor's orders, the participant's plan of care, Primary Care Provider orders, and to communicate with participants and staff
