Job Summary
Maintain clinic flow for patients and providers by serving as nursing coverage, assisting with examinations, phone calls, treatments, and procedures under provider direction. Manage patient medical records, documentation, specimen collection, and medication administration within the scope of your professional license. This float role supports specialty clinics and requires a current Iowa RN, LPN, or CMA license with three years of acute or ambulatory care experience. AHA BLS certification is required within three months of hire. The position demands strong telephone communication skills, the ability to prioritize under pressure, and basic PC proficiency using Windows.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program or LPN/CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)
- Current license in the state of Iowa
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS
- Superior nursing process skills
- Patient service drive

Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care setting
- Acute care and/or Home Health nursing for cardiac or diabetic patients
- Prior phone triage experience
- ER triage experience
- MD office triage experience
- Combined Adult/Pediatric experience
- Membership in a professional organization
- Certification in a specialty
