Clinic Supervisor (Ophthalmology)

Job Summary

Execute day-to-day office operations by managing employee scheduling, conducting weekly meetings, generating reports, assessing inventory, and ordering supplies. Provide guidance on optical equipment usage, medical chart handling, insurance, billing, frame selection, and policies. Compile operational reports to direct team focus areas and enhance workflow efficiency through action plans. Lead the office via coaching and support, collaborate with the Clinic Manager and HR on recruitment, and act as the liaison between staff and corporate. Actively train employees to ensure HIPAA compliance and a world-class patient experience. Motivate staff by communicating changes constructively and addressing improvement areas. Work full-time hours Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 6:00pm, with flexibility for earlier or later shifts as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of management experience in Ophthalmology or related industry
  • Reliable transportation that would allow employee to go to multiple work locations with minimal notice when applicable
  • Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to work weekends when applicable
  • Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs
  • Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands
  • Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time
  • Ability to drive or climb occasionally
