Job Summary
Develop and implement nursing care plans for patients while administering medications, immunizations, and collecting laboratory samples. Take and record vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and provide telephone advice on health concerns and disease prevention under provider direction. Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, sending and requesting medical records, and completing prior authorizations and referral requests. Requires a current Missouri RN license, six months of prior nursing experience, and proficiency in computer skills. Schedule runs 8:30am to 5:00pm at the Turner Center clinic in Springfield.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing or NLN approved program
- 6 months of prior experience as a Registered Nurse, or prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse in an outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting
- Current Registered Nurse License active in the state of Missouri
