Job Summary
Nursing role in Gastroenterology clinic providing nursing support to Mercy providers, triaging patients (in person or by telephone), scheduling, patient education, medication processing, and thorough documentation in the EHR. Responsibilities include specimen handling, infection-control duties, enabling diagnostics and procedures, and acting as a liaison between providers and patients. Requires licensure as RN/LPN or CMA certification with BLS, and completion of mandated trainings; prior medical office experience preferred. 40-hour day shift in a fast-paced GI clinic with emphasis on patient-centered care and work-life balance.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa or compact state required OR CMA Certified
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) in accordance with the American Heart Association required
- Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse & Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training required
