Job Summary
Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care according to established protocols and the ND Nurse Practice Act. Take vitals, perform assessments, and collect patient data while assisting providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Administer designated medications including oral, subcutaneous, intradermal, intramuscular, eye drops, and topical agents as ordered. Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and wellness promotion while acting as a patient advocate. Accurately document all patient data, assessments, and interventions in the medical record, utilizing the nursing process to coordinate care plans and referrals. Requires an active RN license in North Dakota, BLS certification, and CPR.
Required Qualifications
- A nursing degree from an accredited program
- An active and valid RN license in North Dakota
- CPR (BLS) certification current upon hire OR to be completed within 14 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of hospital or clinical nursing experience
- A strong interest or background in psychiatry/behavioral health
- Solid basic clinical skills
- The ability to remain calm and effective in various situations
- A commitment to completing nonviolent crisis intervention training within six months
- Excellent communication skills
- A knack for building positive relationships
- A deep respect for patient confidentiality
