Job Summary
Provide and coordinate delivery of clinical resources to assure safe, high quality patient care and ensure continuity of care. Perform duties in an environment of care where the needs of a patient are short term, non-acute, and non-life threatening. Maintain current licensure in Nebraska or a compact state license, along with BLS certification and PALS as department dependent. Work a 40-hour week Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Requires an Associate's in nursing or Nursing Diploma, with BSN or MSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's in nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) department dependent
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in patient nursing
- Specialty/primary care clinic experience
- Telephonics experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Proficient with use of email applications
- Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records
- Multi-state license (specific to the Medical Call Center department)
