Job Summary
Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients at Waverly Health Center Clinics, including direct patient preparation, medication administration, and triage of telephone calls. Maintain electronic records, manage equipment and supplies, and ensure timely transmission of lab results and prescriptions. Mentor nursing team members, conduct quality evaluations, and maintain accurate patient charges and documentation. Perform life-saving measures when necessary and adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nurses
- Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
- Ability to read, speak, and write fluent English
- Must be able to sit approximately 25% of shift
- Must be able to stand approximately 25% of shift
- Must be able to walk approximately 50% of shift
- Must be able to lift approximately 35 pounds
- Must use proper body mechanics and ergonomics
- Must use lifting/moving devices when applicable
- Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including the online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system
- Job specific systems are also required
