Job Summary
Provide patient care in outpatient cardiology clinic at MercyOne Mason City Health Plaza; perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications and treatments via multiple routes, and document in EMR; educate patients and families on treatments, medications, test preparation, discharge, and health maintenance; collaborate with physicians, staff, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members; participate in staff meetings, quality improvement, and performance improvement projects; maintain supplies and comply with policies; part-time schedule (20 hours/week) 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., no weekends or holidays; must hold an active Iowa RN license (compact licensure acceptable where applicable) and BLS certification within 3 months of hire; faith-based Trinity Health mission alignment and equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License in the state of Iowa
- Compact State License acceptable where applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire
- Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows environment, web-based navigation, MS Office)
- Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues
- Completion of specialty classes or proof of other certifications required for some roles
- Active participation in a collaborative, shared leadership environment
