Job Summary
Clinic Receptionist I/II responsible for greeting and registering patients, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, providing reminders and pre-visit instructions, preparing patient charts, coordinating authorizations and referrals, handling calls and messages, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records along with general clerical tasks across East Hawaiʻi clinics.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- General Experience: Two (2) years of responsible clerical or administrative experience demonstrating knowledge of office procedures, customer service, and basic computer skills
- Specialized Experience (II level): Six (6) months of work experience performing clerical duties including patient registration, scheduling, data entry and medical records handling in a healthcare or clinic setting
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and commitment to excellent customer service
- Typing: Preferred ability to type at a net speed of 40 words per minute with accuracy
- Substitution of Education for General Experience: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s from an accredited college or university may substitute for all the General Experience required.
