Job Summary
Greet and assist patients, make appointments, and maintain appointment records while handling check-in and check-out duties. Answer telephones, process billing forms, scan documents, and file materials in patient folders. Call for medical records and lab results, open mail, and type forms, schedules, and memos. Screen messages regarding prior authorizations, referrals, and verify registrations for accuracy. Monitor the waiting room and assist with patient flow processes. Requires high school diploma, basic Office Suite proficiency, and healthcare office experience. Full-time day shift with onsite location.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- healthcare office experience 0-1 year
- Basic Proficiency with all Office Suite
- Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing
- Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Talking to others to convey information effectively
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effective
- Managing one's own time and the time of others
- Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems
