Job Summary
The role supports an endocrinology/diabetes outpatient clinic with a mix of administrative and clinical duties. Responsibilities include scheduling patient appointments, check-in/check-out, handling routine patient communications, processing billing forms, managing patient records, coordinating with the care team, and supporting scheduling/registration/billing systems as a Super User. Requires 3-5 years of office experience, strong MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), effective written and verbal communication, time management, proofreading, and the ability to work onsite Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Located at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital campus in Newton, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Experience: 3-5 years required
- Strong technology and MS Office skills – Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues
- Strong written communication and ability to compose/edit e-mails, memos and letters
- Time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proofreading and editing written documents
- On-site, in-person work location at 2000 Washington Street
- May accept co-payments and handle patient billing forms
- Provide scheduling, registration, and billing system support as Super User
