Job Summary
The Clinic Nurse provides culturally safe, high-quality primary health care in an Urban Indigenous Health service. Working closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families and communities, the role undertakes clinical assessments, triage, treatment and follow-up care across all age groups, including monitoring chronic conditions, care planning, coordinating referrals, and administering vaccinations and medications. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate client records, supporting cold chain and medical storage systems, liaising with other centre sections and hospitals, and contributing to health promotion and preventive programs. Requires a C Class licence (QLD), AHPRA registration, and a Nursing qualification (Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing) with CPR certification. Works within a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
