Job Summary
Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level without constant supervision, assuming full responsibility for procedures and related duties. Manipulate x-ray equipment, including mobile units, while selecting exposure factors and evaluating radiographs. Carry cassettes, lift and transport patients, and recognize emergency situations while adapting to stressful conditions. Maintain proficiency with radiographic processors and computers, ensuring all work meets state licensure requirements for Arkansas practice. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
- Completed required clinical hours
- High school graduate or equivalent
- State licensure
- ARRT registry or registry eligible
- Achieved registry within 6 months of hire or within 1 year in Arkansas
- Technical skill in radiologic procedures
- Understanding of basic anatomy
- Capability of manipulating x-ray equipment, including mobile and other equipment
- Capability of carrying cassettes
- Capability of selecting and manipulating exposure factors
- Capability of evaluating radiographs
- Capability of lifting, moving, and transporting patients
- Capability of continual standing and walking
- Capability of recognizing emergency situations
- Capability of adapting to stressful situations
- Capability of communicating effectively
