Job Summary
Create work schedules and manage staff rosters to cover shortages, while overseeing day-to-day clinic operations from reception to clinical areas. Liaise with cardiologists, technologists, and external parties to resolve specific clinic issues and address patient complaints. Manage patient fees, billing processes, and clinic changes for tests like Echo and Holter Monitors. Monitor reception standards, ensure staff adherence to policies, and lead performance appraisals with constructive feedback. Adhere to budgets, attend monthly meetings, and ensure end-of-day reconciliation. Build strong relationships with referring doctors and support the Practice's strategic direction using medical information systems. Demonstrate leadership on the main reception desk when required to promote a healthy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within the health industry or similar
- An outgoing friendly personality
- A passion for excellence in customer service and medical practice
- Ability to handle a high-pressure environment and work through difficult situations
- Experience providing guidance and leadership to employees
- Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent phone manner and the ability to quickly develop relationships
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Intermediate level of skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Honesty and integrity and the ability to work with confidential information
- The ability to work productively both autonomously and within a team environment
- Previous managerial experience in an administrative role and leading staff within the medical field is mandatory
