Job Summary
Seeking a Clinic Manager at Greater Birmingham Humane Society to manage clinic operations, oversee staff and animal care, and ensure high standards of animal welfare.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for the mission of GBHS
- Two years or more working under a Veterinarian as a Veterinary Technician
- Ability to perform physical work involving standing for long periods, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of animal handling and communication preferred
- Experience working in a kennel environment preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Two years or more managing 3+ employees
- General knowledge of Pharmaceutical medications
- General knowledge of Veterinary terminology
- Experience in animal handling and phlebotomy
- Certified Euthanasia Technician
Additional Requirements
- Must handle, restrain, and triage all animals entering the shelter
- Safety procedures must be adhered to at all times
