Job Summary
Assist in patient care under direct physician supervision by obtaining vital signs, blood pressures, height and weights, and recording information. Perform phlebotomy and simple lab functions. Work 32 hours per week with a variable one day off, including occasional weekend or evening shifts. Requires LPN or Medical Assistant licensure in Iowa, BLS certification, and Mandatory Reporter training. Based at Floyd Valley Healthcare's Le Mars Clinic, part of a 25-bed critical access hospital serving the community and affiliated with the Avera System.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a LPN or certified Medical Assistant in Iowa
- BLS certification
- Mandatory Reporter training certification
- Available for occasional weekend or evening shifts
- Available for 32 hours per week with a variable one day off per week
- Ability to obtain vital signs, blood pressures, height and weights and record information
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and simple lab functions
- Ability to assist in patient care under direct supervision of the physician
- Valid driver's license (implied by float position across multiple clinics)
- Background check clearance
