Clinic LPN/Medical Assistant III - Pediatrics Ozark

Job Summary
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and enter data into medical records under direct supervision. Measure and record vital signs, collect demographics, and review medication lists while preparing patients for examination. Clean rooms and equipment, stock supplies, and administer medications as ordered by the physician. This role requires a High School Diploma and completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program with pharmacology coursework, plus a CoxHealth-approved certification such as CMA or RMA. Schedule includes 40 weekly hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. CoxHealth is a leading healthcare system serving 25 counties across southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduated from or Completion of a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship
- Certification or Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program: CMA/AAMA, RMA/AMT, CCMA/NHA, NRCMA/NAHP, NCMA/NCCT, RMA/AAMP
- Current License Practical Nurse or Graduate Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri
- IV certification in State of Missouri
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in work that involved direct contact with people
- Previous experience in health care setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting
- Previous nursing experience, particularly in outpatient or ambulatory clinic setting
