Job Summary
Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organization tasks while managing appointment scheduling and chart management. Convey a positive image of the organization and delegate to medical assistant staff, following up to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours. Train new staff and work within a health care team including physicians, NPs/PAs, and social workers to provide comprehensive, non-judgmental care. Requires current BLS certification and a nationally recognized medical assistant credential, with one year of clinic experience and lead/management training preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
- Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting preferred
- Lead/Management experience preferred
- Training/Preceptor experience preferred
