Job Summary
Assist physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental, and organization tasks, including appointment scheduling and chart management. Provide information to patients to ensure they fully utilize clinic services and convey a positive organizational image. Delegate and follow up with medical assistant staff while maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours. Train new staff and work as part of a health care team including physicians, NPs/PAs, and social workers to provide comprehensive care. Requires current BLS certification and a nationally recognized medical assistant credential, with preferred experience in lead/management roles.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
- Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting preferred
- Lead/Management experience preferred
- Training/Preceptor experience preferred
