Job Summary
Clinic Lab Assistant responsible for phlebotomy and clinic laboratory testing, specimen collection and processing, and timely, accurate delivery of test results. Responsibilities include performing phlebotomy, adhering to policies and quality standards, ensuring specimen integrity, documenting and communicating results to providers and patients, handling coding and computer operations for tracking and billing, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting scheduling and daily clinic operations to promote efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Meets all education, training, competency, and certification requirements established by the State of Kansas for laboratory testing personnel.
- Current certification or licensure as required by state and federal regulations, if applicable.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen collection, and phlebotomy practices.
- Ability to maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, confidentiality, and quality assurance standards.
