Job Summary
Clinic CMA role encompassing medical assisting and receptionist responsibilities across clinic workflow. Duties include performing basic medical assistant functions (vitals, rooming, assisting with procedures, immunizations), operating/maintaining electronic medical records, coordination of patient flow, scheduling and pre/post-surgery coordination, laboratory testing and phlebotomy, specimen handling, and regulatory compliance (CLIA/COLA/OSHA). Team-based care with interdisciplinary communication, accurate documentation, billing/charge ticket processes, and ensuring patient education and care coordination. Requires CMA or RMA certification within first year, BLS certification within 3 months, and mandatory abuse prevention training within 3 months; equal opportunity employment statement included.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification must be obtained within first year of employment and maintained thereafter
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire
- Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire
