Job Summary
Clinic Certified Medical Assistant responsible for following Medication Clinic protocols across clinic locations serving Adult/Child/Adolescent MH patients, with some travel to rural clinics and telemedicine services. Performs non-direct care tasks such as medical record prep/audit, transcribing orders, accurate prescription calculation/writing for physician review, and reporting changes in client status. May issue medications from the Medication Room; license maintenance required; reports to RN Clinic Program Administrator. Emphasis on mental health outpatient care, telemetry/telemedicine capabilities, and collaboration with physicians/mid-level prescribers within a five-county area.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical Assistant program and completion of CCMA
- Experience in mental health or outpatient clinic setting preferable
- Valid Texas Driver's License and insurable driver
- Good computer skills
- Excellent critical thinking
- Customer service oriented
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with precertification and prior authorizations preferable
