Job Summary
Check patients in and out, schedule appointments, and process payments. Update medical records, maintain demographic and insurance information, and educate patients on navigating their ZoomCare medical record. Perform blood draws, finger sticks, and process collected specimens while adhering to laboratory standards. Maintain supply inventory, order and store supplies, and work with basic medical equipment. Provide emergency care and support medical providers as needed. Ensure the clinic remains clean and neat. Complete 2-3 weeks of training involving remote and on-site rotations across multiple clinics.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ year of healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Able to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, AthenaOne, and other relevant software applications
- Excel in a fast-paced work environment, thriving under pressure and time constraints
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from a recognized and reputable organization (e.g., American Heart Association, Red Cross) or the ability to obtain one within 1 month of hire
- Ability to complete ZoomCare's phlebotomy training program within six months of hire
- WA: Must be able to obtain a Medical Assistant- Phlebotomist license within 6 months of hire
- Current phlebotomy license; equivalent licensure or training experience
- Vaccinated against COVID-19, Hepatitis B., MMR, PPD, Varicella (Chickenpox), and TD/TDAP
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at time
- Ability to move to a different clinic location based on business needs
- Patient volume may often require more than your scheduled hours per week or work outside of regular business hours to complete essential duties of this job
- Ability to be fit tested and wear a respirator, when required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Current licensure/certification as a; Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, National Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA) or prior experience as a Medical Assistant - Registered
