Job Summary
Maintain patient confidentiality and accurately assemble, complete, and process patient charts while recording clinical information per hospital policy. Transcribe doctors' orders, check histories for completeness, and report issues to the healthcare team. Order unit supplies, assist with receiving and distributing materials, and obtain x-ray reports to notify physicians. Utilize IDX RIS/PACS to track patient arrivals and advise front desk of delays. Greet patients, verify information, direct them to dressing rooms, and ensure gowning and removal of metal items. Assist with copying paperwork and delivering originals to the front desk. Adhere to University and unit-level policies and safeguard assets. Requires minimum six months of relevant experience and the ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of relevant experience
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
- Commitment to the University's core values
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
