Job Summary
Assist with performing patient treatments, screening procedures, and specimen collection under physician or nurse supervision. Screen for changes in patient condition, document care provided, and maintain equipment and supplies including reordering, stocking, and troubleshooting. Maintain examination areas and perform assigned administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, billing, and patient registration. Present a friendly, professional demeanor while interacting with patients and clinical staff in the ambulatory care environment.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years recent experience working as a clinic assistant in a physician office or hospital setting
- completion of a training program in a medically related field
- currently enrolled in a medically related college degree program with an intent of entering the healthcare field
- Basic Life Support Certification from an American Heart Association accredited source within 90 days if being hired for The Health Network
- Basic Life Support Certification is required effective day one if being hired in the Academic Medical System (central region)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- adherence to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program
- compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards
