Job Summary
Clinic Assistant role supporting CMA/LPN under physician supervision. Responsibilities include receiving and executing orders, rooming patients, documenting vital signs and health information, validating medication reconciliation, preparing patients for examination, supporting complex documentation in the EHR, assisting with tests and procedures, discharging patients with after-visit summaries, aiding in medication, laboratory, and radiology orders, and participating in patient panel management. The role emphasizes professional patient interactions, collaboration with care team, patient education, and ongoing alignment with quality, safe, and cost-effective care. Schedule includes multiple locations in the region with standard hours 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM and possible extended days; 0.5 FTE (20 hours/week).
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Graduate of a medical assistant program (CMA preferred)
- CMA certification via AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NCCT/NHA or equivalent OR Wisconsin LPN license
- American Heart Association BLS - Healthcare Provider
- Some departments may require additional certifications
