Clin Supt Technician 5

Oversees all aspects of staff training for assigned team(s); provides technical expertise and enhances laboratory growth through staff development and training in day-to-day operations. Plans staffing schedules to meet demand and turnaround times, approves schedule changes, and communicates them. Monitors performance, mentors staff, participates in evaluations and competency, and assists in resolving personnel conflicts. Ensures efficient specimen handling and timely turnaround times, maintains daily checklists, and coordinates communication between shifts and leadership. Develops and maintains procedure manuals, training records, and job aides; supports compliance with New York State and other regulatory standards; contributes to quality assurance initiatives and data collection. Fosters an inclusive, positive work environment and supports continuous improvement.
