Job Summary
Perform testing and compile results on laboratory specimens to aid clinicians in disease detection and treatment monitoring. Document test results and quality control procedures thoroughly, accurately, and legibly. Operate automated equipment, microscopes, cell counters, and other sophisticated laboratory instruments while exercising independent judgment with minimal supervision. Utilize effective communication skills to cooperatively work with customers and employees. Perform maintenance and quality control procedures while adhering to the department's Chemical Hygiene Plan regarding exposure to infectious and hazardous chemicals.
