Job Summary
Ensure the overall quality and completeness of medical record documentation by facilitating modifications through concurrent interaction with physicians, nursing staff, and coding teams to support appropriate reimbursement and clinical severity. Support timely, accurate, and complete documentation of clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician and hospital outcomes while educating all members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis. This role requires a flexible RN with knowledge of adult medicine areas, critical thinking skills, and extensive computer proficiency, including Epic. The position involves occasional lifting up to fifteen pounds and long periods of sitting with extensive use of office equipment. This 16-hour per week role is essential for maintaining high standards of care and accurate coding at Cooper University Health Care.
Required Qualifications
- RN preferred or CCS, CPC or RHIT preferred
- NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse) preferred CCS, CPE or RHIT preferred

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical record documentation requirements coding guidelines
- Related Computer knowledge of Epic a plus
