Job Summary

Lead and supervise staff to ensure successful delivery of a fun, engaging, and safe Climbing, Bouldering, and Rappelling program. Instruct participants in the Climbing Merit Badge, oversee program operations including paperwork and inventory, and inspect equipment for safety. Maintain a clean, organized work area while modeling the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions. Manage a comprehensive training portfolio tracking staff growth and perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership. Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record and adhere to staff handbook policies. Requires 1+ year leading teams, C.O.P.E. Director National Camp School Card, and 150 hours of climbing management experience. Full-time role with 45-55 work hours, housing provided, and background screening required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 21+
  • C.O.P.E. Director National Camp School Card
  • 1+ yr. leading teams
  • Summit employment
  • Documented Aerial Sports work experience
  • 150 hours of climbing management experience
  • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member
  • Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily
  • Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

  • Prefer 1+ Summit employment
  • Prefer 150 hours of climbing management experience

  • Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
