Job Summary
Operate as a member of a tree crew to learn tree pruning, removal, and installation of safety systems like cables and bracing. Perform all aspects of tree care services safely, including identifying trees, thinning canopies, and removing deadwood or hazardous trees. Maintain and operate equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. Requires a love of the outdoors and ability to work at heights. Full-time permanent role with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Up to 25% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
