Job Summary
Conduct tree pruning, thinning, and removal services including deadwood elimination, cable installation, and bracing. Operate chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts while maintaining all equipment. Assist in hazardous tree removal and perform tree identification using industry guidelines. Learn climbing skills progressively within a tree crew environment. Complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. Requires outdoor work with up to 25% travel. Starting pay is $20-$23 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Travel Expectations: Up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
