Job Summary
Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy while learning to install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Operate as a member of a tree crew to perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients. Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more. Assist in removal of hazardous trees and identify trees according to industry pruning guidelines. Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. Starting pay rate: $20-$23 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Travel Expectations: Up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
