Job Summary
Learn to climb trees and operate as a member of a tree crew while progressively mastering tree pruning, removal, and hazardous tree elimination. Perform all aspects of tree care services safely and skillfully, including identifying trees, thinning canopies, and installing lightning protection systems. Maintain and operate all tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. Starting pay rate is $20-$23 per hour with full-time, permanent status and up to 25% travel expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Up to 25% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
