Job Summary
Climbing Arborist duties include pruning and removing trees, removing diseased limbs, installing cables/bracing and lightning protection, and safely operating tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts). The role uses DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems, works with a ground crew and crew leader, and focuses on healthy tree care and client services in an outdoor environment. The position emphasizes safety, skillful tree care, and opportunities for advancement within a large, employee-owned company.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
