Job Summary
Trim and remove trees, prune, thin, and remove deadwood from canopies while installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Operate as an active crew member with ground support, safely performing pruning and removal services for clients. Maintain and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Perform hazardous tree removal and limb removal to protect tree health and surrounding areas. Work outdoors with a valid driver's license and previous tree climbing experience, completing required orientation and safety courses. Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's license
- Previous Tree Climbing experience
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Desired Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
