Job Summary
Directs and mentors a climbing arborist crew on on-site tree care tasks, leading pruning, thinning, deadwood removal, and installation of cables, bracing, and lightning protection; safely removes hazardous trees, plans work using the H.O.P.E. process, and ensures proper equipment operation (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts); utilizes DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems; office is outdoors with opportunities for advancement; company-sponsored development and comprehensive benefits; paid time off/holidays; Equal Opportunity Employer; travel up to 25% with a strong safety culture and career development program.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
- Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
