Job Summary
Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for clients, including pruning, thinning, removing deadwood, installing cables and lightning protection, and removing hazardous trees. Execute the Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process while maintaining and operating chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Mentor team members through the Davey Career Development Program. Requires completion of the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, Tree First Aid/CPR, and defensive driving courses. Starting pay is $24 to $30 per hour with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Up to 25% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
- ISA Certified Arborist ®
- ISA Certified Tree Worker ®
- TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®
- CDL B or greater
