Job Summary
Directs crew members and equipment while planning and executing arboricultural tasks, including pruning, thinning, removing deadwood, and installing cables or lightning protection systems. Safely leads teams through the H.O.P.E. process for hazards and obstacles, removes hazardous trees, and maintains all tools and aerial lifts. Mentors crew members via the Davey Career Development Program and operates chainsaws and chippers. Requires completion of the Tree Trimmer Orientation, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses. Full-time role with up to 25% travel, offering paid time off, 401(k) match, and employee-owned benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Up to 25% travel
