Job Summary
Climate Specialist responsible for maintaining a learning-conducive climate by monitoring student behavior, enforcing school policies, and supporting staff in urban charter schools. Responsibilities include facilitating transitions, assisting teachers with classroom rules and procedures, enforcing the Code of Student Conduct, participating in climate-related professional development, intervening to minimize conflicts, implementing the School Climate Plan, reinforcing positive behavior, monitoring behavior during unstructured time, and coordinating outdoor activities before and after school. Required qualifications include an associate degree (or 60 credits), one year of relevant conflict-resolution experience, or a high school diploma with two years of urban-school experience; background check and U.S. citizenship/residency proof are also required.
