Job Summary
Climate Specialist responsible for setting up a PMU for CITIIS 2.0 under the Housing & Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha. Requires a postgraduate degree in Environmental Studies and 12+ years of experience in urban development/environment/climate sectors, with expertise in EIAs, social audits, and community engagement, plus knowledge of CSCAF. Field studies, remediation, and pollution control experience are required. Duration: 2-year contract with potential 1-year extension. Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha (India). Type: Full-time, client location. Working with ICF and the Government of Odisha on climate and environmental initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Post-Graduation degree in Environmental Studies (M.Tech in Environmental Science & Engg/ M.Sc in Environment Science) or related disciplines
- Total experience: 12+ years
- Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in the urban development, environment, or climate change sectors
- Experience in conducting EIAs (Environmental Impact Assessments), social audits, or community engagement
- Knowledge of national urban frameworks CSCAF
- Ability to conduct field studies, remediation, and pollution control
