Job Summary
Vertical Sales Rep for Climate Solutions at United Rentals will be the voice and initial point of contact, using consultative sales skills to understand client needs and convert them into loyal customers. The role requires progressing the entire sales process in person or by telephone, negotiating transactions directly with customers, and learning the technical features of climate-solutions equipment to provide specialized solutions. The candidate should be mechanically inclined, capable of lifting 45 pounds, and able to operate a forklift, lift gate, and box truck. A valid driver’s license is required. On-call rotation to provide after-hours service, equipment delivery, installation, and customer product training are expected. Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus, with emphasis on strong relationship-building and solution-oriented selling. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years' sales experience in small A/C and heating rentals and related services is strongly preferred
- Ability to progress the entire sales process in person or over the telephone
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is a must
- Capable of negotiating individual transactions and contracts directly with the customer
- Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) or other CRM a plus
- Must be available for on call rotation to provide after hour service and response
- Attention to detail with regard to the sales technology tools and strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift 45 pounds and safely operate a forklift, lift gate and box truck
- Willingness to provide equipment delivery, installation, and customer product training
