Job Summary
Conduct PIEVC analysis and equivalent assessments to support climate resiliency across existing assets and new design and construction. Integrate resiliency considerations by engaging relevant stakeholders and collaborate with Stakeholder Relations and Communications to align all aspects of the sustainability strategy. Ensure initiatives align with the vision for a sustainable, resilient, and environmentally responsible future while managing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Requires on-site presence five days a week in Mississauga. Join a global infrastructure team building advanced, sustainable, and passenger-friendly airports.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree in engineering, planning, or sustainability field
- 6 years of relevant experience in the environment, energy, or sustainable design sector
- This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week
- all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certification (PE, CEM, LEED AP, ENV SP)
- Experience working on large, complex programs
- Comprehensive understanding of sustainability and Net Zero principles, with specific expertise in climate risk assessment, adaptation, mitigation, and decarbonization across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
- Proven knowledge of sustainability, ESG, and climate-related accounting, management, and disclosure frameworks and standards
- Deep understanding of climate resiliency risk assessment and strategic planning
- Strong technical capabilities across all project phases, with demonstrated ability to address complex challenges using data-driven approaches and analytics
