Job Summary
Research and draft TPG Rise Climate's biweekly newsletter, synthesizing recent technological advances, policies, corporate actions, and climate developments for internal and investor audiences. Collaborate with experienced team members to deepen climate and communications expertise while informing key players in the investment world. Manage project timelines to ensure adherence to biweekly deadlines and deliver concise, high-quality written content. This role is available to undergraduate and graduate students in environmental science, journalism, or related fields, with a preference for those demonstrating strong project management skills and an understanding of financial firm stakeholder needs. Compensation is $20/hour for a 20-hour weekly commitment from late August through mid-December 2026, with remote work required from specific U.S. states or in-person options available near TPG offices.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Undergraduate or Graduate student
- Experience (academic or otherwise) and interest in environmental science, journalism, communications, climate tech, economics, public policy, or another relevant field
- Demonstrated ability to concisely synthesize information in written form for a target audience
- Exceptional project management skills in individual or team settings
- Strong understanding of the stakeholder engagement needs of a financial firm
- Highly communicative with strong adherence to deadlines
- Familiarity with key questions and themes in the climate space, including awareness and basic understanding of important technologies
- Superior attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
