Climate Data Specialist

Job Summary

Conduct end-to-end data collection cycles for climate and ESG disclosures, sourcing, processing, and validating information from company filings and vendor feeds. Build and maintain Python scripts to automate repetitive data tasks, integrate LLM-based tools for document extraction and anomaly detection, and design AI-friendly data collection methodologies. Own multi-layer QA frameworks, operational dashboards, and reference systems to ensure data accuracy, while identifying automation opportunities to simplify and scale existing workflows. Develop SOPs and process documentation to support audit-readiness and knowledge transfer, partnering with Research, Product, and Technology teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. Train analysts on new tools and scripts, communicating clearly on data methodology and process changes across internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a quantitative field
  • Degrees in Finance, Environmental Science, or Sustainability considered with strong technical experience
  • 1–3 years in data operations, data engineering, or analytical roles
  • Proficient in Python (minimum 2 years hands-on)
  • able to independently script, automate, and analyse data pipelines
  • Active user of generative AI and LLM tools with demonstrated experience embedding them into operational workflows
  • Working knowledge of SQL
